Karnataka Special Gazette No. 913, dated 9 September 2026, contains a section 28(4) notification for the Rajanukunte–Heelalige route of Bengaluru Suburban Rail Corridor 4. Its summary lists 2,538.69 square metres across four villages for acquisition. The figure is the area listed for acquisition, not the total area of the affected properties. What does Gazette No. 913 list?
The six-page Gazette names the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project’s Rajanukunte–Heelalige route and identifies it as Corridor 4. The summary lists 277.54 square metres in B. Narayanapura, 256.69 in Huskuru, 100.07 in Avalahalli, and 1,904.39 in Heelalige. Together they total 2,538.69 square metres.
The notification is headed under section 28(4) of the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Act, 1966. The document states that the listed lands are acquired for the stated purpose. This article describes what the Gazette says; it does not independently determine the current position of a particular parcel.
Why does the schedule have a court-stay note?
One Heelalige schedule entry prints “Court Stay RA/A/269/2020” beside a property identifier and survey number. The Gazette still includes 626.55 square metres for that entry in its summary. The underlying order was not reviewed, so the notation does not establish which court or authority issued it, whether it remains in force, or what effect it has today.
NammaWard also identifies a location-label inconsistency for Avalahalli between the page 5 schedule and page 6 summary. The source copy should be checked directly before using either label to identify a parcel.
BestProp.ai’s read for a property search
A corridor notification is a reason to check the exact schedule against the exact parcel, not to assume that every nearby property is included or excluded. If a purchase is near a listed area, compare survey and hissa details, parcel boundaries, current revenue records, and later notices with the original schedule. Ask the competent authority or a qualified adviser to resolve a match or a court notation.
The Gazette does not establish compensation, possession, a buyer’s title, or any change in nearby property values. Those questions require current, parcel-specific records. This article also makes no forecast about when Corridor 4 will open or what it could do to prices.
For a separate Bengaluru land process, BestProp.ai has covered the BDA’s October bulk-land auction. That auction is a different matter from the Corridor 4 Gazette. Readers can also see the Nambike Nakshe 2 building-plan pilot update for another Bengaluru property-process story.
Does the 2,538.69-square-metre figure describe all affected plots?
No. It is the combined area listed for acquisition in the Gazette schedule, not the full extent of the properties containing those areas.
Does the court-stay notation confirm a current court order?
No. The Gazette prints the notation, but the underlying order and its current status were not assessed. A parcel-specific inquiry needs current official records.
